As any golfer will tell you, golf is a seriously competitive game: you play not only against the opposition but yourself, your handicap, the course and the elements. No surprise then that when Carnoustie Golf Hotel was being planned, it set out to be better than anything else of its kind in the world. Certainly, Carnoustie's Championship Course (home of the 1999 and 2007 Open) is arguably the toughest in the land and the other two, The Burnside and The Budden Links, throw down their own particular gauntlets. Whichever one you are playing, remember to occasionally take your eye off the ball and drink in the amazing scenery.

1. The prize must be taken within 12 months, subject to availability. Booking essential. Excludes public holidays and school holidays. Max 2 adults in room.
2. The closing date for entries will be noon on 11th September 2016. The prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other special breaks or promotions such as Christmas, Gourmet Weekends etc.
3. One prize winner will be selected and will receive a 2 Free Nights + 1 Dinner for them and a guest.
4. The stay is open to a maximum of two adults sharing a twin or double room.
5. The winner is responsible for their travelling costs to and from the hotel.
