Decent Personal Finance Tool

All,
Life use to be quite simple just few years ago when I was salaried and primarily relied on my current account - I knew pretty much ins and out of my finances. But over last few years and after becoming self employed and relying more and more on the credit cards for every day spending - I really find it hard to keep track of everything.
Does anyone use personal finance tools that can connect to bank accounts/CC (although I am not totally comfortable with putting all my data there so would also be interested in offline version too) - that they find easy to use?

https://www.moneydashboard.com is a good option, with both a Web interface and smartphone app available.0

The PF tools that I have used successfully for many years are:-
1. Notebook
2. Pen or pencil
3. Calculator
4. My brain
If you wanted to update this method try the Excel spread sheet.
Both are offline and relatively easy to use.0 -
Thanks, have you used it yourself? just wondering how secure that is?https://www.moneydashboard.com is a good option, with both a Web interface and smartphone app available.0 -
Thanks, I don't think I can stick to those methods for any length of time - I have tried. I would like to be able to categorise my spend - I do not use cash at all (for a long period of time now) and find it incredibly difficult to go through the myriad transactions - add to the complexity of transaction between our different accounts/cards.Both are offline and relatively easy to use.0
