New windows & doors for part of the house

Hi all,
Just had a quote through this morning to replace some of our windows and doors in the property we bought at the end of last month - it's a complete reno job so the windows at the back of the house are our first 'big' expense. Having never had to do this before, I have no idea if the following is 'fair' (although from looking through some other posts I think it may be a tad high...):
-Replace large lounge window & single door (around 2.8m across in total) with french doors + 2 side panels with fan lights (involves removing an area of brickwork under the current window approx 2sqm).
-Replace large kitchen window & single door with single door and smaller window with single opening (will mean 4 additional courses of brickwork under existing window and approx 8inches 'in' from the wall so that we can put cupboards up to the corner).
-Replace kitchen window (like for like 1.2m) with single opening.
-Plastering around french doors in lounge.
The chap was really helpful and said all the things we were looking for (such as warnings about the size of the french doors, guarantees/warrantees from both him and the manufacturer etc) and has quoted £3,400 for everything (we're based between Bristol and Reading).
Any views/opinions welcome
