Right to change hotel if incorrectly described?

I am going on a package holiday later this week and have discovered the pool is now closed even though the pool was listed as a feature on the operator's website and there was no mention of seasonal closures. Do you think I will have any luck if I call up and asked to be moved to a hotel with an open pool having booked the holiday (as I guess most people do) on the basis of a pool? It's a prominent high street operator.

Is it still pool weather where you're going? If it's a seasonal closure that's usually for a reason. Is it the only pool at the hotel?
I'd agree with the above, ask but expect this to be covered in the terms and conditions. I'd also be surprised if this was the only pool and it was still prime season, unless there is maintenance work going on.0
