PRAISE,
Recently used them for the 1st time in about 15 years for a family room. Whilst nice and clean I struggled to get a decent nights sleep due to,for me, saggy mattress.
I found they did a guarantee of a good nights sleep or a refund of the cost. True to their promise they refunded me without any arguing.
Fair play to them.

We checked in at one during a rare period of very hot weather. The rooms have no air conditioning. It was next to the airport, so we had the choice of plane noise if we left the window open or the heat if we kept it closed!
They did apologise about the temperature of the room on checking in and said they'd left a big desk fan in the room to try and help. They offered us a jug of iced water and said to pop back and ask for as many refills as we wanted.
On checking out, they asked if we slept well and we said no due to the heat. Even though the weather wasn't their fault and they'd done everything they could to make us comfortable, I was given a refund without even asking for one. Here I go again on my own....0 -
I'm very surprised you had a saggy mattress, I've stayed in dozens of PIs and all of them have had a firm mattress - they make a point of it in their advertising.0

Thid surprised me too, which location was it OP?
Still great CS by Premier Inn as usual, I'll happily choose them over a higher star hotel because of their consistently high standards.0 -

Indeed. I get such a good night's sleep whenever I stay with them I once asked them where they got their mattresses from and they said everyone asked that! I stay with them a lot because they are usually pretty good quality for the money. I have stayed in some five star hotels which don't offer much more but cost a fortune.0 -
And if you like the beds as much as my in laws do then you go go ahead and purchase one for yourself or just the mattress if you prefer.

Someone clearly had a good night on the bed to make it saggy.0

I stay in about 6 different Premier Inns a month.
I think the mattresses are all made by hypnos (and they do a deal where you can buy the same mattresses online -new ones).
Always find the beds pretty good, but my bugbear is the heating, with temperature control being a dark art and windows being restricted to a 2 inch opening gap in case I want to kill myself.
Wifi, decent parking, and price tend to be the reason I use them but have paid between £19 and £130 at different times to stay in the same room previously so it does help to book at the right time.
I think in the south of England they are the best value for money chain but once north of Birmingham you can often find much more luxurious but similarly priced alternatives.0 -
Ashford international was the hotel.
The softer bit was the middle third of the bed. Not saggy but the top and bottom ends were really firm. If I was a back sleeper it would have been no problem but as I sleep on my side I must have looked like a banana.
As I said earlier, I can only praise them for offering a not quibble refund.0 -

You made me laugh ukjoel.:rotfl:
It's my bugbear too, I don't like the restricted window opening. I try spot north facing rooms and ask for that side of the hotel.........in warm weather conditions.
Premier Inn do so many other things really well, like a choice of pillows and comfortable beds..........that I am a regular customer.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the 'I wanna' and 'In my home' and Health & Beauty'' boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know.
