Terminated employment-advice on PILON

Dear all
I have recently been made redundant without payment of my August salary and without the agreed notice payment.
I understand that I may be able to claim for some monies owed/redundancy and pilon through the RPO system.
I am awaiting the case reference no and info but I am wondering about the pilon rules.
Due to the loss of salary, my spouse has upped hours worked leaving me to take up the school run duties both morning and afternoon. We have been lucky that this has been able to happen at short notice, but it will mean that finding work will be more awkward.
I understand that I have a 'legal duty' to look for work but i may struggle to get full time hours due to family commitments.
Any advice/info would be appreciated.
I cannot find anything useful on pilon conditions etc
thanks

What advice do you want advice on ?
Hire a nanny to look after the kids while you look for work, atrend interviews etc.0 -
Your post is entirely unclear. Are you saying your employer is insolvent? Because the RPO doesn't just pay out money because an employer refuses to. The first port of call is your employer, and their assets.
You are perfectly entitled to work part-time if that is what you wish to do. Many families must deal with the responsibilities of parenthood. I cannot see what your point is?0 -
apologies for being vague, it's very distressing at the moment and I am really worried about the financial implications of losing my job.
My ex-employer has gone into v.liquidation. Terminated trading on 16th Aug. We did not receive our august salaries.
How does pilon work if payed through the govt?
Do i have to get a f/t job ?
Will my pilon claim go through regardless of me finding employment or not?
When would the pilon be payed if i have worked for company for nearly 15yrs?
Thanks

You will need to sign on for JSA.
It seems to be deducted from any claim even if you don't claim it.0
