    I hope your declaring your rent to HMRC as you do own a property, albeit a portion of it.

    Is there anything else you don't want to pay or dodge?

    And thanks to all that responded - appreciate it. Now I just need to go find a £40K property to purchase as my main residence for a while instead, then none of this will ever be an issue :P
