My wife will be traveling to South Africa in a few weeks for a holiday. her family are there.

Best Buy credit card or debit card attached to a current account.

Was in SA for christmas and new year. Took a bit of cash and did the rest on a Revolut. Most of the restaurants accepted cards and had no issues with cash machines.
Out and about never carry too much cash on you, especially at night. Just take what you need. I didnt have any problems what so ever but stay vigilant out there.0
