I have a Technicolor router upstairs beside my PC. Broadband is OK. I have an extender downstairs. Recently my Lenovo tablet has not been able to connect to the router giving me the message "authentication problem". It can, however, connect with the extender. Help please.

I'm sure I had the same issue, try a reboot of the router, will take maybe 5 minutes for the router to settle.0

Have tried rebooting a few times. No success. Any ideas?0

Hi
Is the authentication related to it's MAC address?
I have a PassWorD / Phrase for the SSID and a list of allowed devices by MAC address.
So if the router table disappears or the device emits a different MAC then I manually intervene. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I am not technical. Could you explain it for a simpleton.0

Hi
No need.
If you haven't entered the MAC addresses yourself then it wont be that. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
