I hope everyone has had a good week? It's definitely starting to feel autumnal, I had to wear a jacket last night to walk the dog. Hoping to get through to October without the heating on.

Sunday- Cottage pie bulked out with veg and veg as the side
Monday-Chicken Stir fry
Tuesday-Chick pea and potato curry
Wednesday-Steak with garlic mushrooms
Thursday-Eating out lunch time with a voucher so soup maybe?
Friday-Wrap pizza
Saturday- Salmon and salad

I need to do a shop as I am almost out of cheese, garlic and mushrooms. Shouldn't come to that much as I do have all the meat etc in already.

  • Thanks for SoWorried for starting us off again :D

    Just sat and sorted the meal plan for the next month (find it so much easier) so this week looks something like this;

Sun - Pepperoni baked chicken parma with garlic wedges and salad.

Mon - Garlic and herb grilled lamb steak with wild rice and Balela salad.

Tue - Caramelised onion, bacon and spinach pizza with shoestring fries and garden salad.

Wed - Spinach and feta stuffed chicken breast with crispy garlic potatoes and tomato and fresh herb salad.

Thur - Baked spanakopita crepes with roasted tomato sauce and salad.

Then we are away for the weekend from Friday.

    Have a good week all.

We've been given about 20 chicken breasts that were frozen and now defrosted but have almost no freezer space.

We're trying to use as much as possible in the hopes of being able to freeze the remainder.

Breakfasts will be wheetbix or porridge with banana

    Lunches will be vegi chilli

Snacks are peaches, grapes, melon, oranges and pears

Monday - Roast chicken with potato and mixed veg
    Tuesday - Chicken fried rice
Wednesday - BBQ chicken with corn on the cob and wedges
    Thursday - Spanish Omelette
Friday - Fish parcels with sweet potato
Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.

Hi all, quite a boring week this week. All lunches will be leftovers and loads of fruit as it needs using up. Might chop and freeze some figs, mango, melon and pineapple tonight to freeze for smoothies and prevent waste.

Mon - Blue cheese, spinach and acorn squash (homegrown) pasta.
Tues - Chorizo and bean stew/chilli, brown rice, avocado,
    Weds - Beans on toast(!)
    Thurs - Dhal and naan
    Fri - out
    Saturday - off on holiday!
  • Slightly late
To the end of the week we have planned
    Cheesy bean casserole
    Courgette pasta
    Sweet potato & pineapple korma
    Pea and mint pasta
Jacket potato with tuna or beans and cheese
    Pizza
Trying to get the rest of the month planned today, almost there but will ask the kids and DH for requests when they get home to fill the gaps.
