wouldn't rely on this with any certainty.but I'm not sure this provides any further information really.Never take notice of gossip. Also they are still offering 4 percent and that is fact and not speculation.
Yawn
Yawn
& yawn some more :j
Where did i say it was certain?
Where did i say it provides 'extra information'?
Where did i say this 'gossip' was fact?
Nope, can't find it anywhere. You'll have to show me
Although i can find where i said i was told by the staff there & that this is 'nothing more & nothing less'.
Anyway, i did open one yesterday & i did bag the cinema tickets
18 tickets my way thank you. I don't usually go to the cinema but when they're nearly £10 a pop i found out, these tickets will do me nicely.0 -
I remember about Santander 123 interest drop. Many people, Even MSE who might got reliable info got it wrong. It was said 2% in fact it will drop to 1.5%.0

I rely on the fat bloke down the pub, far more reliable than bank staff most of whom don't seem to know the basics about their own products even when they are available.
He's predicting a rate cut in the next few week by the the way.0 -

1) ignore it & move on because it didn't interest you
2) reply to it.
Clearly you chose option #2 so you were interested :T
Anyway, what are you doing on a money saving forum Rafa? Fallen on hard times?

And what would an MSE forum be without some whinging here & there0 -

If it is just about drop of interest, it is telling the obvious as no doubt that the interest rate will drop at sometime in the near future. The same thing to say you will not need your money anymore at some point in your life.
But I really doubt that the drop would be from 4% - 1.5%, even worse than Santander. They might have already learnt from Santander123 case who might underestimate the number of people willing to take out their money, close their account and put it elsewhere. We have read this story in many new posts and thread where people have claimed they have or want to close one or more of their accounts...0 -

What I think will happen:
- Club Lloyds current account changes from 4% to 2%
- Club Lloyds monthly saver changes from 3% to 2%
What I want to happen:
- Scrap the cinema tickets/magazine subscription/Gourmet restaurant membership
- Scrap 'Everyday Offers'
- Save £millions by doing the above
- Club Lloyds current account changes from 4% to 6%
- Club Lloyds monthly saver changes from 3% to 6%

I don't see the rate cut on the Club Lloyds being too severe because getting a customer onto the Club account is supposed to be the first step towards cementing Lloyds as the customer's main bank. There's a whole host of exclusive banking offers available to Club customers.DEBT FREE!
