Hi all
I've recently transferred all my music from an external hard drive to my laptop, however when I go to synchonise it to my mobile phone or play it from my laptop i am unable to play it. I am getting a message stating that I do not have playing or synchronisation rights - has anyone else had this problem ?
Thanks
Carol

What format are the music files? You should be able to find out by right clicking one of the non-working files and click properties, where was the music purchased from and what operating system are you using?

Hi John
Thanks for your interest and your reply :-)
Most of my music has been ripped from CDs I purchased over the last 20 years, they were all ripped onto my last laptop then backed up this year onto an external hard drive. I then purchased a refurbished HPPavillion which I upgraded with free Windows 10 update. Copied the music from the external hard drive to my laptop - this week to discover this issue.
Most of the music seems to be .wma however there are some mp3
I hope this helps.
Thanks

Looks like you may have run into this problem with the WMA files:
