Smart Parking - Appealed with POPLA and unsuccessful...

Seriously, can't belive this is for real?
Got a parking fine from Smart Parking saying I hadn't paid for parking at a car park. I had, my husband put in '11' as it asked for registration number. They wanted the full registration plate. I still had the ticket which matched the parking fine so sent a copy of it etc.
They still argued it. I appealed with POPLA and have been unsuccessful which means £100 fine. I just can't believe it - I have a blooming parking ticket so I clearly did pay!
Next step advice welcome... do I need to just pay? Makes me feel so angry, and sick, I'm on maternity pay and £100 is a lot of money right now.

you are under no obligation to pay but I am afreaid you needed a better appeal for popla , using legal arguments
I hope you still have the paid for ticket ?
if so , you have the right to defend yourself in court , using betrter arguments than used up until now , but the judge may well find in your favour (if smart issued an MCOL)
I would not pay and defend myself in court if it came to it , the choice however , is yours (smart have 6 years to try a court claim via MCOL)
in future, come here for help , and pay nothing , after our free advice
as a forum member here since 2014 , you should have asked for help earlier0 -

If you pay you have been mugged. Why would an MSEer consider paying this and not have researched it better before appealing weakly and throwing that chance to cancel it in the bin? Sorry but, you did waste that POPLA appeal, why, if you are not working at the moment, didn't you take 10 minutes out to search MSE forums for obvious keywords like: 'Smart POPLA' and use an example that wins?
Such a waste, we never lose a POPLA appeal v Smart! You could have found a recent example, copied it and won. You won't get another easy chance like that. However, DO NOT PAY. Smart Parking will just send the usual debt collector trash:

They do not try court:
http://www.bmpa.eu/companydata/Smart_Parking.html
LOOK how many 'PCNs' they issue. Look how many court claims (NONE). Come back if they ever do try court (tell them if you move house, but otherwise IGNORE). DO NOT PAY.
You could try a complaint to the landowner (...Land Registry...).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
