in Credit cards
I had some Artificial grass laid in my front garden about a year ago.
When it was finished it looked okay and bill was paid with my credit card. A year down the line and it is starting to resemble an old-fashioned coconut hair doormat. To be honest it looks more like a carpet than a lawn. I rang the supplier and she came to the house and was very much on the defensive and said as far as he was concerned there is not a problem. I pointed out the areas in particular that I am not at all happy with and the best he could do was to say that he would contact the suppliers of the grass. It is clear to me that he has no intention of doing anything to rectify the problems and I am now wondering if I should go through the credit card company to recover my money. How does it work with them claiming their money back from the trader, as I am not in the best of health and do not want any hassle from him. Thanks in advance

You have the same rights against the card as the retailer. So you would need to go through the same process with them, explaining why you have not received what you paid for.
If you're successful, it's not then your concern whether they try to reclaim from the retailer.0 -
In order to make a section 75 claim, you have to show there was a breach of contract (or misrepresentation).
Every contract has implied terms that the goods are "fit for their purpose" and "of satisfactory quality".
So I guess the basis of your claim would be that the grass was not "fit for its purpose" and/or not "of satisfactory quality".
I suspect that the bank will tell you to get a report from an expert in artificial grass, to support your claim.0
