Boiler breakdown. New property

Hi all.
In 2014, I bought my first new build flat. During that time, I was signed up for boiler cover for 2 years. Now this cover expiring in 1 month.
I need your thoughts and experience with home boiler cover, if some master mind can help.
1. Do I really need boiler cover, because it's just 2 years old flat. (Never had any problem so far)
2. Which is the reliable company to take out boiler cover if need?:D:D
Anyone with new home boiler cover, please share your thoughts.
Thanks in advance.

I don't have boiler cover but do put aside money each month to cover servicing, repairs and eventual replacement of the boilers in my rental properties. £15/month does it.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

There are very few insurances you 'need'. The question is do you want it.

Although no problems so far, presumably it was new 2 years ago. Like most things problems are more likely when they get older.

I don't have boiler cover but I do get it serviced every year (which would be a requirement of most policies anyway).

You only need to insure losses you can't afford. If you can afford the odd boiler repair then all things being equal (i.e. with average luck) that should be cheaper overall than boiler plans and you won't have the bother of them wriggling out of paying for 'wear and tear' items or because you can't produce a CORGI invoice for servicing.
