• Morning all
Tru enjoy your 3 days
TA fingers crossed for a quicker appointment
Well the sun has stopped shinning here in Essex but it means i can get on without the need for a shower every five minutes . Trip out went well yesterday and both ladies had a good time .Dog has been walked and WM is whirring away with the bath towels so will have a cuppa then get on . Dinner tonight is gammon and salad
Have a great day everyone x
• Have not done a thing yet, oops.
Tru, enjoy the peace and lack of interference. If he is going to a chili festival, do you have an outside loo for when he returns?
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
• Morning, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. Late getting up, so is the bathroom fitter by the looks of it. They have just been and collected the rubbish off the front lawn, so I should be able to cut it.

Dull, we do not appear to have had the promised rain overnight, pity, but the garden will have to stay unwatered.

No plans, no point cleaning up, might shove the dyson over the carpet after the fitter has clocked off for the weekend.

Lainey and LameWolf Scampi loves socks and likes to steal miss tru's. He lies on the landing with a sock underneath his crossed front paws :D He once stole a box of eggs, I found them in his bed, lol.

RosyRed I've been warned a couple of times about dodgy people in vans. If someone was looking for a fighting dog, they'd think they'd found the perfect one if they saw Scampi kicking off at a cat because he looks so nasty.

Ly1a also loves socks but does have a tendency to gulp them down if you go near her.Good job her innards are as big as the rest of her :D,though thinking about it now shes a big girl of 3 she hasnt swallowed one for a while :rotfl:

After the talk yesterday about dog thieves & fighting/dodgy people I crossed over the park to find about 10 caravans have appeared overnight-don't know how they've got on as the council have massive stones round most of the likely places.I suppose one good thing about the road repairs having started is it'll make access very hard for people trying to nick all the York stone flags the cottages have in our gardens, which happened last time there was an encampment a few months ago

The roast chicken didnt get cooked yesterday as I unexpectedly had DGD.I was on the bus home from town when I got a call from her other Nana that she really wanted to come and see me :j,so we spent the afternoon in the park and a short visit to my DM elderly cousin who lives backing on to the park.I was pleased as we dont get 1-1 time very often, and the opportunity will be less after next week when she becomes a school girl

My friend is picking the stuff up later for her carboot on Sunday.I rooted about in the loft and found 3 pairs of curtains from our old house that wont fit here so she can have those too,at least they'll be out of the way.I did intend to fleabay them as local pick up but with the road being shut I think that might be difficult so they can go.

Time for another cuppa I think....
Enjoy your Friday folks (& Wembley JackieO)

• Morning all!!
Tru - enjoy the peace and quiet xx
JackieO - hope you all enjoy the match and treat tonight!

Bit of a lie in until 8.30 this morning which was nice, watching the F1 practice, checking up on here and enjoying my second cupppa :-)

Bit of a funny day today really as its 6 weeks and a day since I was granted my decree nisi so I'll be going to post the application for my decree absolute!! Not sure how long that'll take to come I've tried googling but no real luck in finding out!

Other that that I've just got lots of little bits I want to get done in the house today and a few bits to get at Aldi when I go to post office.

I keep looking at bread makers! I used to have one years ago and I'm quite thinking I'd like another but torn between feeling I should not, be sensible and save the money or get one because I really want one, healthier and my girls love fresh bread.

Hope everyone has a good day, hugs where needed xx

Topsymum, I recently bought an Aldi bread maker, it's excellent. In fact I've made more bread than with my last two put together. Even made jam, which was lovely. It's got a dough feature, whereby its get it to shaping stage, you just shape, leave to prove and bake.

Bit cloudy down here in Kent, been for bike ride and off to lovely haberdashers in Ramsgate to get upholstery braiding for my up cycled chair and stool.

Have a good day all

Ooooooo will see if they still have it online!! Thanks!

Edited.....they don't :-( but was a good price and with that review I may just sit tight a bit longer as these offers usually reappear in Aldi ( in fact it says was on sale end of sept 15 so maybe hopefully coming soon!!)
• Afternoon all
Non-stop chaos at work today, I produced 30,000 documents, only to have 30% returned as the had the wrong information on them, so I get to do them all over again on Monday, by 8:45am, no pressure then.
DD1 has dropped her 10 and 11yo off with me.
DD2 has collected her dog, I'd like to sit in a corner and gibber, but the kids want to play domino's and I need to cook a meal for us all.
Hubby has to be at work at 8 tomorrow morning despite it being his Saturday off, I need to think of somewhere to take the DGC
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester
Chin up, Titus out.

Hi ....hope everyone's had a good day. I've been to Newcastle with youngest DD. Had a nice wander round Primark and H and M and bought 3 new long sleeved tops, a couple of cardies and a pair of jeans. Had birthday money from my mum so didn't spend much of my own money. Also bought 2 boxes in Wilkinsons as I've been sorting all my paperwork out. Had a really nice lunch at Zizzis...using Tesco vouchers....so a £41 bill cost me just £1!
It was my birthday treat for yesterday as DD was working, so we couldn't go anywhere. I treated her to a few bits in Primark as she passed her maths GCSE. She already had a Scottish exam pass, but when she went to college in Newcastle last year they said she had to do the GCSE. So she now has 2 passes in maths and is just pleased she never has to do it again! Might have an early bath and just have some supper while I'm watching soaps later, as I'm still full from lunch! Think it will just be a fishfinger butty!
