CCJ Complaint

Hi

Does anyone know how to complain to the court about a CCJ, I didn't know that if you pay within a month the CCJ is removed. I thought that a CCJ was put when you didn't pay or offer to pay.

I also understand that court was supposed to advise me when to pay, I didn't receive any letter.

I offered to pay a creditor in 4 installments. Is there a phone number ?

There is no phone number to complain, and the only realistic appeal from a CCJ is to ask to get it set aside, but that doesn't seem to apply here.

And just to clarify, even if they were to aggree to the installments, unless they all would be paid within a month from judgement date then the CCJ will still be recorded on your credit file. That is why it's best to actually talk to lenders and cut a deal then rather than wait for court orders. Then at wors you are looking at delinquent account on your file, not a CCJ.

But alas now it is too late for any of those, and I am sad to say that you will have to live with the CCJ on your file.

    Hi

The complaints process for the court system is outlined here:

As Arleen says though, you would still have a CCJ on your credit file unless the 4 instalments you planned to offer were paid within one month.
