TSB Classic Plus - monthly interest not received

I recently opened a TSB Classic Plus account. The account offers 5% interest on a maximum balance of £2,000. I added funds to the account up to the maximum balance shortly after opening it. I checked my online statement today and there has been no interest added to the account. The opening date was August 1st, so any interest earned should have been paid in today. As I have met the requirements to earn it, I am bewildered as to why I have received no interest. I will be contacting them tomorrow for an explanation but will most likely be moving the funds elsewhere and closing the account if it's not resolved. Has anyone else on MSE had any issues with this account?

Almost certainly the interest will be there tomorrow......just be patient!
I seem to think their accounting dates are 2nd of month.
Why would you want to move money out now? the best interest currently being paid.....
This question comes up zillions of times on this forum!!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

it's normally paid right at the end of the day. So if you look tomorrow it should be there. Source: Me!0

This has to be the most hysterical version yet of this monthly thread.0

I'm expecting my interest to appear in the account tomorrow on the second bank working day of the month as per usual so I won't be contacting TSB for an explanation in the morning because I already read the Terms and Conditions.0

Don't worry, I've had a word with them and they've paid me your interest.
Many thanks.0 -
This months 'Where is my interest' thread made me smile,
Yet again a new account holder opening, funding but failing to read the T&C's required wonder if they have paperless statements and paperless correspondence set up?

You'll have to make a complaint to TSB, and then take it to the regulator!0 -
