Appealing a council ticket

Quick question....I've appealed a parking ticket which I received in Greenwich on 25th June. They've asked me for further details, which I've provided, yet still no decision after 2 months.
My question is, do they have a set time in which to respond or can they keep me waiting as long as they like?
Thanks 😊

If this was a windscreen penalty notice, not a postal one, they have to get to NTO stage within six months of the PCN. So don't remind them!
If you then get a rejection letter and then a NTO, start a thread on pepipoo and win:

Almost everyone there wins in the end. A rejection at first informal challenge stage is expected but does NOT mean you have no case.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Google it...!
I'm not being unhelpful - if you've appealed a PCN (early stage, informal challenge) I would have thought you have:
- read the back of the PCN which tells you about a NTO...
- researched what happens next, even just by looking on the Council's website.
Appealing is not a one-stage process so I would have expected anyone to look what lies next. Do so now, and you will be ready. Most cases really are winnable if you find out what to appeal on, at NTO stage, from pepipoo experts.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
