First of all nothing to worry.
It's one of the steps to check credit before fund release for some lenders. It was done by my lender too. (Barclays)
If time period between mortgage appli acceptance and fund release (completion) is longer then some lenders will check your credit again, just to stay on safe side in case applicant's financial situation has been changed during that period.
However credit was not checked again in my friend's case.
Again nothing to worry the most hardest part in application is gone. Get ready for new home.
    Best wishes.
  • My application time line is

Middle of July application submitted online.
Next day they do hard credit search .
Last week of July application approved.

If I want to see my current credit report which one is the best to cover most of the things
  • Well in that case they might just do soft credit check.
  • In the financial industry I work in...if more than 30 days have lapsed between original assessment and advance of funds, we credit check the customer again just to make sure.

It also makes sure the business is following "fair lending criteria". If a customer all of a sudden misses a mortgage/credit card payment...the customer maybe showing signs of financial distress.

    Not to worry though :)
  • Thanks for the all reply .
Any experience from recent natwest mortgage application

    Every single case is different.

You could have two people with mortgages offered on the same day, due to complete on the same day and one might get checked, the other might not.

If you've not taken out new credit and your financial situation hasn't changed, why are you worried?
  • Hi, i just made a post about a similar situation. After my remortgage was aproved and underwritten I went back to the branch to change it and add extra borrowing. the staff member checked my internal credit score (from 50 days ago) and manually added it into the extra borrowing form. I'm not experienced in this area so take from it what you will..
