  • No I dont think HIPS has had any real impact on prices - I certainly wouldnt buy right now. I have been looking to move and have found some properties that almost would work but the purchase price plus the cost of improving/redecorating makes them over priced in my opinion. I will continue to look and am confident that prices will soften materially over the next 6 months.

    From my limited research (looking for somewhere), it seems that asking prices aren't dropping yet, but the price which is paid definitely seems to be increasingly below the asking price in many cases.
