My girlfriend has had £1200 taken out of her account, after looking into the retailer and calling them, its happens theyre a Chinese company and they the sent goods to NEW ZEALAND but couldn't give us anymore details. We have no idea what to do and my dad said something about a chargeback, we are with Lloyds bank, does this process work with them and can we claim the money back ? We have a trip to scotland to see family soon and wonder if this refund process is long, if there is one at all.
Thanks for any helpful comments.

If your girlfriend knows nothing about this 'money taken out of her account', presumably by debit card?, then she should contact her bank and inform them of this.0

She has, the card is cancelled. Fraud team been advised.0

She should be covered, it's exactly this sort of thing that chargeback was set up to protect consumers from.0
