Travel Insurance for Over 90s

Does anyone know who does travel insurance for the over 90s?

My step father wants to fly from Bournemouth to Edinburgh at Christmas and requires insurance.
An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:
I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.

    Can you tell us what he required insurance for?

    As it's a UK trip, if he was ill he would be covered for treatment under the NHS as if he was at home.
    If he is taking possessions they may be covered under his home contents insurance.

    Exactly what is it he wants to insure here?

    I'm asking as it seems to me he may be able to travel within the UK without it (if he has home contents cover for personal possessions).

    Just to clarify I would NOT recommend going abroad without cover.
  • My dad and his partner, who are both over 85, had problems last year. They either went with Help the Aged or Age Concern, sorry but I cn't remember which one.

    Try doing a search on the Intenet for each and giving them a call. Whichever it was, they were really helpful and fairly inexpensive when compared with other companies, who if they would even consider them, wanted a fortune.
    Thank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend
  • my father is 89 and mother 79 and they insure through the British Mountaineering Council, you have to become a member though
