excel - unable to change 'display units' box as greyed out

i have created a graph in excel, but want the horizontal axis to use larger numbers,
when i go into the format menu, and try to change the 'display units' (currently set to none) it is greyed out
any ideas on how i can un-grey it?

tried that and all sorts of others.
i think it it because it is a 2d bar graph it doesnt like it all other types are ok.smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....:cool:

Double click one of the values on the axis you want to change, it'll bring up a "Format Axis" dialog with the tools you need...0
