Costco rules
Just got the new Costco magazine, which features the filling stations.
You must have a Costco membership card.
101.9p for unleaded, AND diesel!
I think 106.9p for Premium Unleaded.
Paid with Amex, so I get 1.25% cashback. Since I have the Executive Membership, I should get 2% cashback eventually.
So it's roughly 98.9p per litre.
I paid 106.9p at Morrisons recently, with the 5% cashback TSB Contactless card. So it's roughly 101.9p
Somewhat academic, as there are so few Costco filling stations.
The Manchester (future, not yet) one is probably a good half way station for a London to Scotland trip.

Yes, I filled up at costco Bristol twice recently. It really is good value.
Fuel is excluded from the 2%.0 -

I'm pretty sure my car would go from London to most parts of Scotland without a refill. I'd probably run out somewhere between Inverness and Thurso. You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0 -
Haydock Costco is no different in price from local supermarkets for diesel at £1.07, although unleaded is less at £1.04 compared to £1.06 or thereabouts at supermarkets.0

Ah, but there are no Costco fuel stops in Scotland.
So if you filled up in Haydock, you can go to Scotland and back to Haydock on one tank, fill up again, and carry on back to London.
It's all academic, with so few of them around. Nobody would detour to say Oldham just to save a few quid.0 -
Costco Haydock is in a good position for the M6.
Northbound, come off at J23, back on at J24.
Southbound, come off at J24, back on at J23.0 -
I just filled up with premium diesel at Costco Haydock and saved myself £10 compared the same fill up at my local Shell garage. That's 1/3 of my annual membership fee recovered in one tank. Combined with the cheaper cat food I bought I have already recouped half of said membership fee.0

Do you find Costco diesel comparable with branded Premium diesel? I'm suspicious of the fact that they don't do a standard diesel, only "Premium".0 -
Their prices are not as competitive as they were when they first opened their petrol stations but still cheaper than the supermarkets.
I thought that would happen, start off at a really cheap price to draw people in and get used to going there.
I noticed Tesco were doing a promotion spend £60 and get 10p a litre off. That would be cheaper.0 -
I too use Costco diesel.I seem to get 10% more miles from a full tank also.
Comparing to supermarket fuel.0
