finding cheapest date in one hotel

This might be a stupid question but (other than ringing the hotel to ask) is there a site that lets you search for the cheapest night in a certain hotel? Being a bit paranoid but don't want to say the hotel incase someone I know somehow finds this and figures out what I'm doing (it's a surprise for them), but in France if that helps. Hotel in question is mega pricey so happy to go any time but would rather not have to search hundreds of different dates and I HATE phoning people plus not sure they'd tell me anyway (feel a bit stingy cos it's a fancy place!). Like Skyscanner lets you search the cheapest date to fly? I'm sure there must be, but can't seem to get sites like Expedia or Booking.com to let me search this way and Google brings up nothing.

Even in low season or with special offers a mega pricey hotel may not reduce prices that much. Just check their websites for promotional rates.

Unless a hotel is hosting an event, you will usually find that Sunday night is the cheapest. If a hotel is prefered by business clients, Tuesday night is very often the busiest and most expensive.

It all depends upon events in the hotel and the city as a whole.

Although, certainly in France, that may mean the restaurant isn't open.
  • Try hotwire, last minute and trivago to see if there's any offers on

Could you use a site to find the cheapest date to fly to
That destination ? It may follow that that's also the cheapest time to book a hotel .
Skyscanner allow you to check the cheapest price for the month, so you could check each month till you get the lowest price?
In addition, keep an eye on daily rates on hotelscomparison to see which operators are offering the lowest prices

Trivago is probably the nearest to Skyscanner for hotels but like Skyscanner it can return some dodgy sites were the rate may not apply or may be supplemented with other charges when you try to book.
  • Just a thought: many hotels list a per-night breakdown when you make a reservation - just don't proceed to the payment page!

    For example try this:
    1. Use the Four Seasons Paris website
    2. Enter a date range of up to 28 days (the maximum they allow)
    3. Select a room type then click Book Now
    4. On the next page you'll see the total price for the stay BUT ALSO a breakdown of the price per night. This lets you see which nights are the cheapest.

Additional hint: if you're going to stay somewhere particularly fancy I recommend contacting a few travel agents to see if they have preferred partner status with the hotel (preferred partners are Virtuoso, Starwood Preferred Guests, etc). Being a preferred partner agency doesn't mean that you'll get a lower price, but you WILL receive lots of extras on top such as a room upgrade, £75 credit to use for food and beverages, early check-in/late check out, etc. (I work part time for a travel agency which is how I know this).

Hope you find a wonderful room.
