Honda Remote Central key fob programming?
Options
Hi Folks,
I wonder if anyone could help me. I Replaced the battery for my Honda Accord 04 plate remote central locking key fob.
After replacing the battery, the doors do not open, then manually opened the doors, the alarm was activated, and it keeps going, even when driving.
I found instructions to programme new key from the old key, but it does not seem to work on 1 key alone?

I will check for a link but I am sure you have to have all the keys that need programming with you in the car then there is a sequence of ignition , lock unlock that places all the fobs into a set mode ..Then another sequence sets all fobs to the same code .
I have done it when I added another fob ..But forget exactly how I did it0 -

Thanks for the reply.
But this is if you have a master key and bought a new key which you can programme from the master key fob. I've tried it, it didn't work.
In my case, I just replaced the battery.0 -
There should be something in the handbook about resynching the remote to the car.
Sometimes you turn on the ignition & hold the unlock button, sometimes you just hold the unlock button for ages, sometimes you hold both buttons.
You are not programming a key, you are resynchronising the remote transmitter.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)
