Cystophan & stress related cystitis - any experiences?

Evening to all
Our elderly cat has just been 'diagnosed' with stress related cystitis. This is the 2nd time she gets it but this time it has been going on for about a week (previously it was just 24h thing). She makes frequent trips to wee and we can see blood in the urine. She has been to the vet, urine sample revealed no infection and was prescribed Cystophan which seems to be helping her somewhat. She's also on Loxicom for pain relief for her arthritis.
We are not sure what has set her stress levels rising; could be neighbours cats trying to come in (patio doors open during hot weather) or foxes in the garden - who knows. In herself she seems ok, eats and drinks well.
Now my dilemma is this - we are due to go on holiday for a week - leaving this Saturday. We would have our usual cat sitter come in twice a day to feed her but I don't know if we would be adding to her stress by going away
She has been spoilt for the last 4 months by my OH being around most of the day. Changing the flights is too expensive, I would have been more comfortable if it'd been a long weekend rather than a week. Not sure what to do!!!
Does anyone have any experiences with their cats with this condition?
