Should I appeal when fine caused by my own mistake?

I received a £60 fine from Indigo after paying for the ticket over the phone and then sending my reg. no by text. Unfortunately I didn't notice the spell check on my phone changed the registration number so it was one letter out! I can understand why I received the ticket but thought I'd be let off once I provided evidence that I did actually pay and sent the text, albeit with the wrong number. However, Indigo have refused my appeal on the basis that the e-ticket was invalid. Technically correct I suppose but it seems harsh not to waive the fine once I have explained the mistake!

Yes, so now you appeal to POPLA and win, as shown on all the other Indigo threads. Search this board for 'Indigo POPLA'.
Do not write your own from scratch, search & copy/edit & amend a recent one and show us first. We are guessing you've made the silly schoolboy error of saying who was driving in the first appeal, contrary to the advice here?
Never mind...you will see from other Indigo threads that this is winnable because they have no evidence who the OWNER of the car is...
Show us your draft POPLA appeal based on all the others, easy to search for and find in minutes. Do not reply if you get a private message from any poster offering to 'help' off-forum. You do not need help, this is easily done on this thread with all the regulars chipping in.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
