Over Limit On Capital One Card

in Credit cards
I was wondering if someone could give me some advice.
I have a £750 limit on my credit card (it's my first) and have been paying off my balance chest in full every month by direct debit for 3 years.
I use it the most when on holiday and I check it to make sure I'm not exceeding the limit.
While on holiday this year I was emailed to say I'd gone over the limit by £25.
I checked the app which gave me the same message but when counting my transactions for the month it did not amount to £775 but rather £698.
Regardless, I made a payment to bring the balance back to the limit (which included the over the limit fee) and it is waiting to clear.
I was just wondering what the consequences would be for my credit score? I've never made a mistake like this before and it's got me really stressed out.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks in advance.

Your credit score doesn't matter.
It will appear on your credit file as an overlimit marker, unless you got very lucky with regard to timings. How long were you overlimit for?0 -
Maybe 2/3 days?0

You may have got lucky, depending on when they report to the CRAs. Check your files next month if it concerns you - otherwise, just don't make a habit of it. It's not the end of the world.0

As a one off it shouldn't be a big problem. What is of more concern though is the fact that you cannot reconcile this balance with your spending. Have you checked your online statement carefully for anything that you don't recognise?0

This has also happens to me this week for capital one, they have removed the £12 charge for me.0

Did you use your card in another currency? Did you get the exchange rate right? Did you account for the foreign currency fee (usually 2.5-3% of the mid-market rate)?0 -
Yes, this sounds like currency exchange fees, also if you used the card to withdraw cash, some cards charge you an additional fee for withdrawals in other currencies.0
