Natwest - multiple accounts - can you 'name' them?

Hi,


I am thinking of switching over to Natwest for our banking.


I asked at the counter about the possibility of adding a category to each account. E.g. holiday, car, budget etc.... The lady at the counter said this was possible if mentioned at the time of creating the accounts (book appointment etc.)


That's all fine, however, can I name and rename the categories myself once they have been setup? So if I want to call my budget account all of the sudden emergency fund is it possible to do it in their phone app or online?


My current bank hasn't got the option of doing this at all and am I am struggling just remembering all the numbers. Missing the good old ING days when that is exactly what I did.


So before I switch the lot, do they offer that flexibility?

Yes, you can. You can rename them in when you are logged in to the internet banking page. If you want to have a different name on your debit card, e.g. "Expenses" you need to get in touch. You can do this via web chat, on the phone or in branch.

Fab thank you ! When you say debit card... do you mean the current account? I am thinking of naming several savings accounts - not so much to invest saving but to help us stay on track...

Yes, I have one savings account called "Tax" for example.
