Single trip travel insurance cover Multi-City Holiday?

Hey
I am going to Miami for 4 nights and then over to mexico for 6 nights before return back to the Uk.
Will a single trip travel insurance cover me, or will I need to buy a annual one (I feel like non of them will cover me and I have to buy a backpacker one however they are alot more expensive)
I am really confused, been trying to read the small print of the polices but nothing seems to be clear.
Anyone have any ideas?
Cheers

Yes: you are going on holiday for ten days and your trip includes the USA.
(A single trip policy defines a "trip" as anything between leaving and then returning to the UK.)0
