Student finance and debt management

I'm a single mum and a full time student studying a social work degree.
Im in a DMP paying off around another £11000 of debt from a separation 2 years ago. I currently
get special support grant and parent grant and borrowed the maximum loan from student finance last year due to being told it would be calculated in my housing benefit claim anyway.
My question is I may be eligible for a social work bursary of £5262 (which I do not have to repay) this year and was wondering whether I have to take the full loan. I'm paying £293 a month on the debt management plan and wondered where I stood with having to borrow more student loan to pay debts if that makes sense? What are my options? For instance if I went for a DRO how does that work when providing proof of things like travel costs, food, pocket money and all the things step change allow for in budget calculations.
Many thanks
