I just read the article from Yahoo Finance ...

"The man who accurately predicted 5 market crashes has 3 more dates we need to worry about"
    https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/man-accurately-predicted-5-market-064500977.html

IS it good to notice his warning in the next three more dates ??

So this guy has successfully predicted 5 short term falls in the market (the word "crash" is misleading, some of his supposed predictions are 8-day short-term falls, irrelevant in the grand scheme). In 11 years as a technical analyst. Or at least he's claiming so. "In 2005, he said he warned 2,000 investors at a speaking event in Shanghai, China [...] about the property market crash — eight weeks before it happened." Of course he did. Just like I told everyone in the Lamb and Flag that Iceland would beat England, even if no-one could remember me doing so until after the full-time whistle.

He is claiming to have a lower rate of success than a stopped clock. If his track record is spot on, why is he not a multi-billionaire?

I also query this by myself from beginning why he did not become a multi-billionaire, following his own prediction ?

Also this man is not a well known financial analyst. I wonder why the Yahoo Journalist put him in the spotlight ?

I am interested in buying property in Berlin.
Is there any website to look at for people selling property ??

What is the potential problem for non German citizen buying property in Berlin ??

Angela Merkel may have had it filled with immigrants before you can get your hands on it :)

Do you mean refugees? In either case, it seems a better use of vacant property than to offer it to investors.

Back to the original Q: I would wait with any EU property purchases until the Brexit options become clearer/have been agreed. There might be all sorts of tax etc implications in the future as Britain has voted against the right of free movement for its citizens.

Physiotherapists can't take a week off work on short notice to go skiing and take advantage of a last minute deal. Next you'll be wondering why parents with families don't just book holidays in term time when it's cheaper.

I had an office job once upon a time, and what I used to do was to go when things were not hectic, which was basically project deadline oriented. When I could, I just booked something leaving soon, and looked excellent value for money. If I was on a low income, I would certainly do the same, and not insist on the resort.

I have to say that girls may have ulterior motives. There was a chalet that was definitely 4 star or better, but that week was in January, and the season was dreadfully short on snow until then. Needless to say, cheapskates galore turned up. I have a feeling some of the girls were hoping to meet a better class of fianc! material. Heavy snowfall as soon as we turned up. Had a great week skiing, but the girls seemed extra frosty. :rotfl:

I'm waiting for SpaceX to realise they have a Space Age Viking Funeral barge business ready to go. They put my corpse on the Falcon rocket, for £10 million, and it explodes somewhere along the trajectory.

No point climbing Everest or collecting Toby jugs

    Ecclesiastes 1:3-7

What do people gain from all their labors
at which they toil under the sun?
    Generations come and generations go,
    but the earth remains forever.
The sun rises and the sun sets,
and hurries back to where it rises.
The wind blows to the south
    and turns to the north;
    round and round it goes,
    ever returning on its course.
All streams flow into the sea,
yet the sea is never full.
To the place the streams come from,
    there they return again.

My view, if I had accumulated £6M I'd like to distribute it while still alive. But this guy was wired differently I guess.
