Hello. I hope someone can help me clarify something that I'm probably getting very confused.
So, I was going to crossfit and I've decided it's not for me. I signed up for one period of 3 months and signed up again for the next 3 months. For each period, I had to sign some kind of form/contract agreeing to the terms.
A few days before the new 3 months was due to start I asked them if I could cancel the contract. They declined, saying I must give 30 days notice before the next payment is due. So I did some research and found on the which? website that there should normally be a 14 day cooling off period from when a contract starts.
crossfit say this does not apply to me as it's a continuing contract, but I disagree as technically I had to sign a NEW contract. They also said I signed up to the new contract a month ago, so any 14 day period would have started then anyway.
Am I just very confused? is crossfit? I tried speaking to CAB, but I don't think I explained the situation very well.
I want to know if I can get my £100 back.

No, for both the reasons they gave. They are both valid.
Surely the gym offers more than just crossfit? Find another class you enjoy or just go to the gym?0 -
No it's not a new contract, renewing the contract is a continuation of an existing one.0

Despite the title, it sounds like they have signed up for a course of Crossfit sessions rather than a gym membership. This is the way Crossfit work; they don't offer anything else.0 -
What did the t&c's of the contract you signed state? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
