Decent moving company in London?!?

Options
Hi all, moving flats... the most taxing possible thing in the universe!! And I am hitting a bit of a problem. With the new "review websites" that companies can actually manipulate pretty successfully, I am now completely confused as to what would be a decent, average, honest, helpful, reasonably priced moving company. Hope some of you may be able to help me by sharing the names of moving companies that you may have used recently and were happy with?

Do you live in an area which has a local Facebook group? The question about best removal firms comes up fairly regularly on the one for my area of north London and the same couple of local firms get recommended by lots of people, so that's what I've used for a shortlist for my upcoming move.

https://www.rocketvan.co.uk are good, I've used them before following a recommendation from a friend.

They get very good feedback on the SE1 website which is a forum for locals

Thanks a lot for the idea! I cant believe it hasn't crossed my mind. Which facebook group do you refer to? May be I can just piggy back :)
  • My parents used Caseys in Beckenham area. No idea if that's your area as you don't say...

I've read their reviews, some good, some bad. I doubt every company with have a 100% glowing records. Some people just can't be pleased.

I used this company recently and they were very good: http://claphamremovals.com/

If required they can pack for you, provide packing materials/boxes and can also apart flat-pack furniture

I've used Inline Removals several times. Can recommend. They're more East London, but cover other areas.

My current area's one is the Crouch End Appreciation Society (don't laugh) and the one I'm moving to is Muswell Hill & Friends (look, I didn't name these groups) :rotfl:
