Unlock Handset query - EE, T-Mob or Virgin

I have an iPhone 5c handset locked to EE purchased second hand nearly 3 years ago and currently on T-Mobile.
If I switch to Virgin mobile I should be fine as they are currently running on EE but who would I request my unlock code from at a later date?
I might be out of luck as I am not the original owner but I would be interested as to anyones thoughts on this.

You would have to request unlock code form network provider, in your case EE (Orange as was). Goo luck with it, I have been trying/waiting for over two weeks for an unlock code form O2. To move a thread I believe you PM a Forum Guide.0
