Stupid question re cheap Ricoh laser printer

I've just received a new Ricoh laser printer SP11 it's a very cheap one but I just want it for crafting so I can do some foiling. I've tried putting A4 paper in and it doesn't fit (too long). I suppose its meant to be like that but it seems a little strange. It's about an inch too long. It means that you've got to take the paper out to close it up.

Seems like it is a "feature" of the product ..
    From customer reviews :

"One minus is that for A4 paper tray needs to be extended and thus a little ugly cover comes to the back side.
Ricoh shold learn from OKi and Brother to do an honest casing, that trick means this was probably designed having US sized paper in mind as the main market for this printer."

Thank you AndyPix, must admit it's very odd, it was under £20 so guess I'll have to put up with it. I was surprised that it came with an ink cartridge.

It was a terrible product from Ricoh in printers and they still haven't lived it down
