We are in the process of selling our house. The buyers solicitor has sent us an enquiries list and on it is the following.
"The property information form refers to the attachment of an electricity cable from the property to the next door property.
Supply a copy of the electricity agreement/wayleave in relation to the same"
Any idea if we really need to do this and if so, or we choose to, where do we get this from? When I looked up 'wayleave' Openreach came up.

Your local electricity network supplier - not the people you buy your electricity from, but the people who are responsible for the grid in your area.

The wayleave is the permission that they'll have to use your land for their infrastructure. If it's just a cable going to next door, they may not need one. Your solicitor should be able to advise.0 -
My leccy comes along a cable via my neighbour's house.
No wayleaves in place (that I know of). I suppose in theory the neighbour could insist I remove the cable and I'd have to get the supplier to use a different route.
Never thought about it! Stupid as the same applies to my water and sewerage, for which I put a Deed in place some years ago.
