help accomodation required in Newcastle for Great North Run weekend

Dear anyone and everyone, Does anybody know of a hotel/b and b/hostel bed anywhere in Newcastle for the weekend of the North Run .My other half and his mate failed to get a room and have already got train tickets and entry for the run.If anybody has a room and are about to cancel please shout or if anyone knows of a vacant room anywhere please also shout.We are very desperate as the run is on the 30th September:eek:.My other half needs a room for the 29th September for one night.Any ideas however wacky will be very welcome!

I saw Ibis and Travelodge both under £56 for a room for 2 adults for the date you mention but better hurry
