hi guys, Since the interest rates banks are offering are going down the gutter, I'm looking to get into cautious investing of a small part of my weekly income. I'm thinking of between £50-100/wk. What kind of investments are low risk and offer fairly good returns? I'm also reading a book about trading shares. Is this an…

Stocks and shares isa with a multi asset fund at a fund at the correct risk profile for you. Check out Legal and General Multi Asset funds and Vanguard Lifestrategy funds. Both have low charges and are highly diversified both across sectors, assets and geographically. I put £500 per month into the Vanguard Lifestrategy 60 equity fund via Halifax Share Dealing.
