After my bankruptcy in 2010 I cleaned my credit file as much as possible.
I did have some trouble with payday uk at this time,as they had incorrect dates recorded for me.
Eventually, they wrote to me agreeing to change the dates, and even offered me a small payment in compensation.
I agreed to this, and stupidly took their word for it that they would do this.
On checking my credit files recently it seems that the dates recorded on noodle are still incorrect.
It does not appear on the other credit files.
I've raised a dispute with noodle and contacted payday uk again.
They have emailed me to say I need to contact McKenzie hall who the debt was sold to.
Is this correct?
I still have the letter from payday uk promising to amend the info.
Any thoughts please.

Thanks for reply. No I didn't pay it. It was included in the bankruptcy. They have the default date wrong. It should be no later than the date of bankruptcy. It's actually showing as two years later than that.
This means it's still on my credit file.
They are saying that I need to contact McKenzie hall. I have a letter dated 2014 from payday uk saying they will amend the details.
It seems they didn't do this correctly.
How can I get them to amend this?
I've already contacted them and raised a dispute with noddle.0 -
Anyone any idea what I should do next?
Do I contact McKenzie hall.0 -

OK, so Payday UK are in breach of Data Protection legislation.
Visit the website for the Office of the Information Commissioner (responsible for enforcing data protection legislation) and follow the procedure for making a complaint: probably this will involve making a formal written complaint to Payday UK and then involving the IC... And no, you should not contact the debt collector they engaged: evidently they provided incorrect information, but a debt collector is not going to accept anything that you tell them while Payday UK are responsible for correcting their mistake.0 -
Thanks, this is what I thought. The entry on my credit file is in paydayuks name and I also still have a letter from them dated a couple of years ago saying they would update my files with the correct info.
It is only appearing on noodle but I still want it removing.0
