No return after 14 days

Options
My £60 e cigarette has gone faulty. I purchased it on the 30th of July but on returning it today '29th august' I was told that they can't replace or refund or repair it because theye have a 14 days faulty return policy. It does say it on my receipt but it's not even been a full month!

Are ecigs classed as consumables? Not sure tbh but if not the SOGA gives you 6 months where they must prove the fault was not inherent at time of purchase, so their 14 days is illegal as it goes against your consumer rights.

Surely that should be the Consumer Rights Act now as it was bought after October 2015.

Yea old habits, I stand corrected.
  • It's a socialites storm, it isn't one of them pen things and when I took it in the shop the lady said it was the electronics that has gone. She tested the element on hers and said that was working fine.

Where was this purchased ? The socialites website says 30 days return policy minimum (faulty goods are different)
  • I purchased it in the store in Carlisle. My receipt says 'socialites has a 14 dayso faulty returns policy for all products purchased at CARLISLE. if any product purchased has any kind of manufacturing fault, simply return it to us and we will replace it.
