Virgin mobile

Hi all,

I've just fallen out with virgin tv and moved to sky and it looks like I'm going the same way with virgin mobile. I'm wondering if they've all been on some sort of course "how to completely p###off your customer" and have financial bonus target for success rates..... or is it just me?

I've been a customer for years and rarely contact virgin mobile. They've always let me upgrade around 3 months before my contract expires and I'm just about there, and need a better camera.

Apparently, I've been particularly lucky in the past and always been randomly selected for an early upgrade. No one seems to know what percentage of customers are selected so I don't know if I've achieved the equivalent of a lottery win over quite a number of upgrades though.

I either buy my way out of my current contract or wait.... what makes the whole thing worse is the attitude they had on the phone. This includes the contract cancellation people. It was dismal (the tv people were the same. That is until I did cancel :rotfl: ).

Is it just me, I don't see many other comments about virgin?

I suppose I'm now looking at tesco or giff gaff, are there any others I should look at?

Thanks

It's not clear from your post, what exactly is your issue with them, and how have they annoyed you? I'm sure it can't be that they are wanting to hold you to the length of contract you committed to? I'm assuming you have mistakenly left out the actual issue!

Virgin have changed the way they do things. For years, they have done upgrades, for current customers, 3 months before contract end. Now it's a month.

They also seem to have developed an attitude problem, in my opinion. It is possible to say no without completely winding up a customer but they don't seem to have this ability. My recent experience with virgin media may not be helping them here.

A deal isn't just about hard cash, it's also about benefits such as early upgrades (or customer retention policies from virgins perspective) and customer service.

Benefits are directly relatable into cash. Customer service not so, but would you really want to deal with a company who didn't seem to value you as a customer?
