John Lewis Price match praise

Got a new moto G4 10 days ago , John Lewis dropped price this weekend from £150 to £129

Sent them an email late yesterday , refunded difference just now

No quibbling at all

    I did this with a samsung tv and no problems when I rang them withing a week of getting it

    I saw some Ugg slippers on their website, the same item was cheaper on another website.


    When I emailed, J L refunded the difference with no problems whatsoever.


    Their customer service is excellent.

    I'm not impressed with JL Never Knowingly Undersold. I wanted to buy something and the supervisor said that they had to fill out a form and send it off. When the price match is approved then I would be contacted to return and buy from them. Err. No thanks. May as well buy from the cheapest place.

    I can see why it's worth it in some cases with the extra warranty period on some items.

  • they refused to match sainsbury for an i stubble saying it had to be in stock at a certain number of stores for them to do the price match.
    Even though it was in stock in my local store and I had even photographed the item on the shelf with the cheaper price displayed!
    John Lewis lost my custom there and then!
    they were also very snotty in their email replies and also lost one of my click and collect orders I had already paid for.

    They may have been good once but I like man others have noticed a very deep slide in the good customer service they were once known for!
