Try www.spiceuk.com and www.speedbreaks.co.uk
I have not been on these my self but may do soon. Have a few friends that are members of SPICE and go on holiday with them regularly0 -
Hi ktp,
I had the same dilemma about 18 months ago. there are singles tour operators like solo's, just for you etc. - which I've not been with by the way. However, someone on this board recommended voyages jules verne vjv.com since they do a lot of holidays with no single supplements. I ended up going to Jordan with them last year and would highly recommend them. From the booking staff to resort staff they were excellent. there was a nice mix of other holidaymakers, some single some not but everyone mixed well. I would def. use them again and have since heard of other friends who've used them. they are not expensive either.

why not travel independently? Ive done this as a lone traveller and its fantastic, and WAY cheaper than packages.
Get a flight, find a guest house, relax
You'll be in good company in Cuba, thats brilliant travelling for singles, and you can get cheap flights there all year round it seems these days ( fly into varadero on a charter its cheaper than havana but only 45mins away) Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Hiya. The Sunday press is usually good and filled with holidays for the single traveller. May be worth taking a look at0

KTP,
Have a look at Friendship Travel and Exodus. Spice could be an option but you usually have to be a member to go with them.
I'm off with Mark Warner sometime in the next few weeks and there are always several people travelling on their own and we meet up on the first/second evening for dinner. A great holiday if you want to play tennis, sail, windsurf or just laze by the pool. All inclusive, including tuition.0 -
a good 3/4 of my hols are bymyself, I grab a few brocheres, look at the hotels, esp the single room supplements, and go from there.
This is my checklist
Destination
Country
Area
Hotel
Single Rm supplement
Board basis - I personally like a minimum of Hb, thatway your not looking for somewhere to eat, thou AI is the best choice.
Ive done, Tunisa, Turkey, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, Gambia, and am planning Cuba next yr.
You always meet people, one thing I would say is, becareful, dont do anything that you would not do at home.
My other tip is wear awedding ring whilst away ( pick up a cheap one for £10 or £15 fromArgos, it comes in very useful around markets, as they assume hubby is following somewhere.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hi.
Just a thought, if your going this sept/oct, shop around the travel agents, when they bring a quote up ask them to break it down so you wantto see the single rate.
I got conned when I went to Mexico, originally 2001, I was doing Sri Lanka and the Maldives, 2 weeks, single rm on that was £95.00 spot on,(total cost £1,300- trip of a lifetime) was amazed, but as Sri Lanka got blew up, trying to find long haul, AI, single room with 4 weeks, notice, was a bit of a minefield, left it to the Travel Agent, they came back with Mexico, never been further than Tunisa said yes, slight snag another £200 to pay, so took it up, wasnt to all the documents came through the single room supplement was £600.00 of that. Tho 2 days into that was 9/11.
Hence now I check the prices 1st.
xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
