Many thanks to Martin and MSE.
My wife read an article on the website and is claiming for missold packaged bank account charges against her BoS account and said I should do likewise. I submitted a claim against Barclays since the start of 1997 for an "Additions" account that they upgraded me to without my consent.
They put up a fight, but not much of one: in the initial letter they said they had evidence that the account suited me but in fact the evidence said the opposite.
They've just refunded about £3300 in charges and interest.
