We've done Majorca before late october and found it to be genuine cold at night, to the point of needing a fleece. Most of the bars and restaurants were empty which can be a good thing in many ways, but likewise you lose a lot of "atmosphere" in a bar when you're the only people there! (though theres no wait for the karaoke! :D)

Ryanair flight to Lanzarote is 6.10 am from Dublin, not a very convenient time:D

Its a mid-day flight from Belfast

    .

Full day on the beach then. This time last year, with the savings on the flights, you could have taken a taxi to Dublin and still been quids in.

Portugal, great weather and quieter. Look at Quarteira as it's cheaper than Vilamoura and quieter than Albufeira. Flights from Easyjet and Aer Lingus, though they stop and Easyjet keep flying through the winter. Yellowfish Transfers from the airport were brilliant too

    I have booked this:

    http://www.travelzoo.com/uk/holidays/spain/-199pp-5-Star-Algarve-Week-w-Sea-Views-Flights-77-Off-2318686/

Leaving from Belfast in October. I got a week for £289 (flights, transfers, accommodation and breakfast), it says it's 77% off

It is in Albufera but it is not in the centre, I think that it is in a quiet area.

Ryan Air to Bergamo, Italy. Wonderful place and good access up to Lake Como etc. I went there last October.
  • Thanks I will look in to these.

Zola- where did you stay and who did you book with?
