Plumbing for washing machine and sink

Hi everyone,

I would like to know how much it would cost to put plumbing for a washing machine in the room next to my kitchen?
The room is a second sitting room which is next to the kitchen which I hope to turn into a Utility Room.
Any help is appreciated.

It's generally an easy job, but price will vary wildly based on where things are located; floor composition, wall composition, where you live.

Will the washing machine be on the same wall, directly opposite the sink?

The kitchen sink is under the window and the washing machine and extra sink in the other room would be on the dividing wall which separates the kitchen and proposed utility room.

Also, do I need building regs to inspect the work?

I don't think you'd need building control. It should be relatively cheap for a plumber to run a 40mm waste and 15mm copper across.

Water feed could go under a suspended floor, but the waste will need a downward gradient to wherever it joins in. That could be under the floor, or above, depending where the waste connects.
