No internet contact on my iPhone

Going on to internet sites suddenly became impossible on my iPhone. I'm up to date with my payments, have plenty of MB left of my tariff, so what is the problem? Messages I get are 'Safari cannot open the page because it could not connect to the server' and 'There is a problem with the network connection'. Happens both out of the house and next to my router at home. Is it the fault of O2, Safari or within my phone? It can't be the internet sites as I can't get on to any? TIA

Is mobile data and WiFi switched on? Do you have a WiFi symbol or 3G/4G showing next to the signal strength at the right hand top of screen?I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0
